Admissions

For up to date information on admissions or to arrange a visit, please ring Mrs Armstrong, the Admissions Registrar on 01737 352114. Our Prospective Parents' Mornings will take place between 10.30am and 12.30pm on 7 March, 10 May and 15 June 2011. Our Open Morning will take place on Saturday 1 October 2011 from 9.30am to 12.00pm.

Nursery

Young children are at the earliest stage of their development. Some may be coming to Greenacre having experienced nursery education from an early age, while others have been at home with mum or dad. We are looking for potential and only assess children for entry into the next class, Reception at age 4+. Parents wishing for a nursery place are asked to visit the school and meet with the Early Years staff. In this way everyone can discuss the needs of the child and decide whether Greenacre is the right choice!

Juniors

When there is a space, girls may join the school at any stage. Tests in the early years are informal, while for entry in the later stages of the Junior School more formal verbal reasoning, mathematics and English papers are taken. Once pupils are accepted into Greenacre School, provided they continue to work to the best of their ability, they are accepted into the Senior School.

Seniors

All pupils are tested on entry. Assessment includes a verbal reasoning test, English and mathematics papers. Language and Science papers are taken by pupils at higher levels where appropriate. Pupils are welcomed into the GCSE groups and we have found that late entry students have performed well as a result of the small classes, the individual care and attention of the staff and the friendly and positive environment.

Sixth Form

External applicants looking for a small supportive Sixth Form are welcome. Students are invited to submit an application to enter the Sixth Form and are admitted on GCSE results and/or interviews. Students are expected to have a good range of GCSE subjects and the minimum requirement to study the subject for AS level may be a C or B grade, depending on the subject.
