Photography
???Some say that Photography is a fine balance of technical craftsmanship, creativity, and communication skills. My philosophy about photography is simple. I love making pictures. I love capturing emotions and moments. An image captures an instant in time, when you create an image that is more than a subject on paper it's almost magic’.

Digital Imaging at Greenacre
At Greenacre we now marry conventional photographic processes with digital imaging techniques. Although conventional photography is still dominant, the girls now incorporate digital imaging techniques as a ???tool’ to enhance and manipulate images. The images are now digitised using a top of the range 35 mm film scanner, which provide far better quality final print than flat bed scanners. We incorporate professional image enhancement software and output onto photographic quality paper. 2003 was the first year Greenacre girls have used this technology. In fact a large section of the sixth form girls’ work was created or enhanced digitally.
This is a recent example of a year 10 photography student’s work; the task was to create a front cover of a magazine. The image was produced incorperating industry standard software (Photoshop CS)
Trips to Exhibitions
